The Seiko 61 Diver Ref 6159-7000 was only in 1968 as a diver's watch. One piece stainless steel case, hardlex glass, screw-down crown, powered with a Cal. 6159 with high-beat (10 vibrations) . its robustness was tested in 1970 when Naomi Uemura and Teruo Matsuura, both members of the Japan Alpine Club, used this model to climb the Everest.
